Pros
The potential to be something good for the community does exist - in theory. The science center could fill a community niche in education that is otherwise empty, if not for the serious problems within.
Cons
The management is abysmal, the executive director in particular is toxic and inept, choosing retaliation in the face of criticism. Departments are encouraged to compete at every turn, creating an atmosphere of overt hostility in almost every situation.
