Pros

Part timer colleagues are brainy, yet humble. We strive to help each other during adversities. Flexibility of time as a part-timer, students mostly come from humble families, but are eager to learn.

Cons

Despite being CoS faculty members, the teach and go setup is not entirely true. You have to cooperate during Accreditations which are supposed to be done by regulars only. However, due to the large ratio difference between CoS versus permanent/employees with an "item", CoS faculty members are somehow forced to lend a hand. On top of that, every start of the semester you have to let at least 1 month to pass before you can receive your salary due to the weak coordination, ever-changing policies/formats in releasing the salary. Management or toxic permanent employees would blame you for your accumulated embitterment towards them, but also they are the ones who push the word "family" to emotionally manipulate you. No govt. benefits due tot he fact that the contract says there is no "employer-employer" relationship. No health benefits as well, you have to pay for your own annual medical pre-employment fees outside, and if you get sick, just your voluntary paid Philhealth. But if you did not pay voluntarily, then zero benefits. You have to be a richkid if you wanna stay teaching. Because they expect you to be resilient even if you're already drowning in debt. Hahahahaha They also expect you to finish grad studies given those conditions even if NO SCHOLARSHIP is being given.
