Pros

The company offers several notable advantages. The work environment is enriched by knowledgeable, talented, and kind co-workers, making collaboration enjoyable and productive. The break room is well-stocked with snacks and coffee, providing a pleasant perk during the workday. Upper management is supportive and will step in when clients become difficult, ensuring that employees are not left to handle tough situations alone. For a smaller company, the benefits are quite decent, starting with 10 days of PTO, an additional day each year, and a 3% match on the 401k. The agency director is particularly outstanding, with a talent and dedication that shines through her willingness to teach and demonstrate how to tackle complex tasks more efficiently. Team activities, such as happy hours with food and drinks covered by the company, foster a sense of camaraderie. Additionally, the option to work from home is a significant advantage, offering flexibility and convenience. Extremely fast-paced environment, if you're able to handle it you'll learn a lot. that's probably the biggest pro for me.

Cons

I worked at this company for 5.5 years as a client-facing accounts manager, handling everything outside of design, development, and PPC/FB management. My experience aligns closely with another detailed review on Glassdoor. Client-Facing Challenges: If you're in a client-facing role, be prepared to shoulder the blame for any issues, even if another team member caused the problem. While it's part of the job, it often feels like the responsibility is unfairly placed on you without proper support. Layoffs and Job Security: The company had a heavy reliance on a single major client. When that client left, seven employees were laid off, including me, despite my seniority and the fact that I wasn't involved with that client. I understand the business rationale, but the manner of execution was disappointing. I received only two weeks' notice and no severance, despite generating an estimated $4 million in revenue over my tenure. This happened just before the holiday season, adding to the stress. Ownership Change and Management: The company was sold to Flying Hippo in Iowa around the onset of COVID-19. We were told it was a merger, but it was clearly a sale. Promised positive changes were overshadowed by micromanagement, requiring us to track our work by the minute. Unqualified individuals began imposing ineffective opinions on our work, harming client performance. Leadership and Work Environment: My relationship with the CEO, JP Smith, was mixed. While we had a decent rapport, I witnessed him bullying softer employees, pushing some to tears. Which I can not respect. Nepotism was another issue, with his underperforming son remaining employed despite numerous complaints. This fostered a toxic work environment at times. This wasn't a constant thing and was pretty rare. In contrast, working with agency director Nancy Monteith was a positive experience, and I appreciated her leadership. Compensation: The pay is below industry standards. Annual raises are minimal, typically no more than 5%, unless you're prepared to very strongly advocate for more. Overall Outlook: This review offers a realistic perspective on the company. When times are good, the environment is pleasant, but during tough times, employees aren't treated with the respect they deserve. P.S. Regarding the Religious Aspect: There is a religious undertone in the workplace, as mentioned in another review. It's not overwhelming, but noticeable. When engaging in deeper conversations and asking specific questions, inconsistencies between their professed beliefs and actions become apparent. While it's tough to be 100% committed to this religious type behavior while running a business, it's better to just not do it if you're not going to be 100% in on it.

Pros

The company environment and work culture is very relaxed in a professional way. You can dress casually, experience in office events during working hours and communicate openly and freely. Opportunities to take ownership of tasks, pitch ideas, and be involved in growing Celsius as well as clients. This can feel extremely rewarding. As long as you thought out your ideas, pitching new ideas or direction was wells received and more often then not moved forward with.

Cons

They are growing rapidly and they are a marketing agency. Both come with a set of expectations when looking to work. Priorities can change based on client expectations and although this is now fewer and far between, you can find yourself in a position where there hasn't been established structure yet. These aren't bad things they are expected in both an agency environment as well as a growing company so consider if this is the type of environment you want to be in. Maybe advertising isn't for you.
