Pros
Founder led company who tries to do right by their employees, investors, partners and customers in a competitive ad-tech industry. They had the foresight and passion to lead people to make a revolutionary product at a revolutionary time in the industry. And now they are doing the same again. It can be challenging but they are the same people.
Some of these comments about the new product seem critical, and there is some truth to them, but they tend to also ignore the other truths: making a new product is not linear. There's a curve. Sometimes the bend happens earlier, and others later. Right now the new product is buttery smooth and enjoyable to use. And it's getting better! I can feel the bend.
Cons
Founders are real people. They are not Consultants. They are not cookie cutter MBAs. This is not a company where change management happens from disconnected consultants who are paid to be change agents. Instead they invest in us, people with shared motivations and feelings, to be that change. Can it be messy? Yes. Will you need to be the best version of yourself? Yes. Will you become that person? I sure hope so.
