The executive function of the organization is provided by an Administrative Council, a team which provides strategic direction without micro-management. CHD provides a supportive and inclusive environment, has a low turnover rate, and provides excellent retirement contributions. CHD operates in a beautiful area with lots of outdoor recreation opportunities.

Individuals who prefer clear hierarchy, closely directed supervision, and decision-making driven primarily by management may find this model less comfortable.
