Pros

They have free parking for employees

Cons

As a former employee I find it important to spread awareness for people searching for new jobs. So they know what they may be getting themselves into. Let me start with this is all my opinion and perspective. If you have a different experience, great I’m happy for you. However my experience was not all that great. First off I was an employee of this business for a few years. I was one of the few reliable workers there. Even though that never got me or the other ones anywhere. There were multiple instances where employees were granted leniency’s that I or other hard working employees would never have received. For example, there was a day when the front desk staff(3 of us) were not able to make it safely in on time due to inclement weather. Now mind you all three of us lived over an hour away, and not to mention all three of us were the most reliable employees at the time. The road conditions were horrible and we were forced to still come in the office by 10am. Now the two employees(medical assistants) who were able to come in on time due to them living in a 20 minute radius, were rewarded. They both received free treatments that day while we were tormented for not arriving on time. Not to mention the plethora of moments when certain individuals(always medical assistants) would get away with so much and nothing would ever be done about it. Like sleeping on the job for multiple hours, showing up late constantly, and leaving early, or sometimes just not coming in at all. If I or one of the hard working front desk staff tried that, we would be fired. That would have not been tolerated. Just another example of how everyone is treated differently. Now speaking of being treated differently… this is where it gets fun!! There have been multiple occasions where the owner Dr Adrian would lash out at employees. The one time he even tossed office supplies across his desk while verbally abusing an employee on their first week of work. Let’s just say I never saw that girl again. Dr Adrian has been known to have what some would call an “anger management problem.” However, said problem is usually only directed to certain individuals that get the absolute pleasure dealing with him more then the others. Ie manager or the longest running employee. There are over 100 documented incidents where Dr Adrian verbally abused and assaulted me and other coworkers. I saw many employees come and go because They could not stand his horrible ways. Which honestly is horrifying and embarrassing. Especially when said person is supposed to be giving patient care. I’ve seen employees last a couple of weeks, one week, even a couple of days. The quickest turn around was 4 hours. Not to mention the few employees who used to work for us that came back after a few years and lasted no more then a month, horrible. I would go home for months crying after every shift because I would be verbally abused multiple times in one day for things that weren’t even my issue or things he just wanted to yell to me about. You may ask yourself why would you put up with this? Well, why does anyone stay in a toxic relationship? That’s exactly what this was. We could go on about this and everything else for days. However, moral of the story is if you like being screamed at constantly and made to feel lesser then and you’re blonde and white or are a medical assistant; you’ll work out great! Hope this helps someone out while looking for a new place to work!

Pros

good if you are independent. free parking in the garage patients are nice. doctor buys lunch sometimes.

Cons

things change all the time based on doctors preference which can be confusing if you are learning how to work here not an office for new medical assistants more of an established medical assistant would be better here, some one knows how to assist medically (and accuratley) small office so if you slack or hide in the crowd at offices with more providers it will be noticed here, and all the responsibility falls on you since you are 1 of 2 medical assistants that work there. doctor can be hot headed when things go wrong. which is why someone who is a little more versed in dealing with providers won't be scared off by his temper.
