Good pay and nice office place to work. Best place for freshers to gain skills

Office politics, very difficult for new joiners and less legal work, mostly work related to finance

I was in a stable job with around 2.5 years of experience. I was doing good at my previous job. With new year January 2020, I was lured with the offer of this company and I joined them believing it to be challenging and passionate work . Little did I know how this company works. When I joined them, they had a complex work culture with not so experienced people. It took a lot of effort to understand and establish a system as I was working independently. A lot of effort went into meeting new people daily and research and & build up plans and strategies. I met a set of people and was working day and night to bring their plan into action & of course my past history and workplace helped me to keep everything in place. It happened to me somewhere in March 2020, when I received termination email wherein I was given 7 days notice period. It was sudden, no advance notice, no prior warning nothing. It was not that I was idle, I was neck deep in work/plan, working on a crucial plan of this company. There was no attempt even made to give me time to digest the fact that they are dropping this plan or closing this project. I was called at Gurgaon Office to discuss it in detail and I was again defrauded with some more lies and was told that there is no need of manpower/resources since market is all time low and company is at loss since there are no new clients and they are awaiting fees from existing clients. I was told that in pandemic times, everyone is facing difficulties and so are they and therefore, I was terminated and hoped that I will understand their situation. The irony was that I was the one who had independently worked on one of their plans , got it up and running and was the only one working from remote location independently . There were issues, but primarily due to lack of guidance. Basically he had no clue about how to manage things from so far and different location, the specifications just keep changing randomly, and it got escalated. He needed some scapegoat, since I was the only one employed for that plan and now since he was dropping the plan,it fell on me .It was not an easy feeling at all, I am an independent person and live alone, I had bills to pay, I had to pay rents and because of him I got stuck in third city during pandemic situation at a place away from my hometown and away from city where I work. I am stuck at a new place and city.Now, I will have to pay rent to my landlord for 3-4 months even when I am not living there and here I was out of a job, staring at an uncertain future ahead. It was hard to be facing this, and for ambitious person like me sitting idle, being jobless, one of the worst period of my life. It was also the time I realized, that corporate relationships never really have any meaning. I feel founder of the company wronged me by terminating without cause. I am disheartened because he lured me into better opportunities at his firm and I had to give up my previous well respected job and position to work with him. To lure me in, he showered me with expectations of a fancy title and good future prospects at his firm. I was made to believe that this firm and company is mine and I will have to work like its mine and I actually did. Employment is at will, and he had the will to cut you loose whenever he likes. Not even a single courtesy call, and he was the same person who asked me to work like this company is mine. I just want to say one thing, don't invest your emotions at your work and especially at a workplace like this. It is better to be practical and selfish and do not fall for fake opportunities and bosses. Think twice before leaving your well respected job and position for a new lucrative offer.
