Pros
Ceres does a lot of great work to help the community, the people are great, and the hours are consistent. The organization is very respectful of their employees and their needs.
Cons
Ceres works hard to foster a positive culture, which often forces workers to perform a lot of emotional labor and develop a certain amount of saccharine insincerity. Over the time I've spent there, their model has changed, it seemed to become more corporate than in the past. On several occasions, big changes in staff leadership were kept secret up until the last possible moment, even when it was clear that upper management had known for a significant amount of time, or could have organized for a smoother transition.
