Resources - trying to disrupt some large players without the same resources as those big players in the market. You have to trade-off on decisions at times and be careful about where you choose to invest your time.
Worked at ChatLingual right under a year as an Enterprise AE. Very cool product solving a very large headaches for organizations. Sales Leadership (SVP & Sales Director) were great to work with and provided a good balance of helping while letting you grow professionally. Cool WeWork office in Downtown Denver and lunch and happy hour outings made it a fun to place to work during its peak.
Cons
Executive Leadership made poor financial decisions such as scaling too quickly and forecasting too aggressively that ultimately led to cutting employees and trying not to pay any commission on multiple deals signature ready worked the entire year by the reps and before stocks vested. Just shows that no matter how close you think your relationships are, you’re always disposable.
