Pros
You can say you work for Chelsea FC. Easy access to tickets. Above average job security.
Cons
No salary review in 4 years -2020/21 company wide decision due to COVID and nothing to do with personal successes. Nothing in 2022 yet either which is why I’ve left. CEO and the board have failed to make decisions about flexible working and hybrid working always having some sort of excuse. If you’re not a player, you’re not a priority. No investment in non match staff facilities. Don’t even have a seating area to eat home cooked food unless it’s at your desk. Some staff don’t have private toilets or even a kitchen to wash up. No staff showers if you want to ride a bicycle to work (think you can use the health club but you have to be out by 8.30AM). Some staff areas don’t have working air handling. Communication from CEO and board to staff members is appalling with staff often finding out critical business information from the press. Very little room for progression in most teams. Basically if you’re not a mens or womens professional player. Don’t expect any personal development or investment. Part of an organisation that wins a massive international sports tournament. Get a 50p plastic pin as a thank you. Maybe Guy Lawrence was the issue and things will improve now he’s leaving. I hope so as the excellent staff who are still there deserve better.
