Pros

There is potential if they expand resources, such as adding telehealth video visits and more home-visit urgent care services outside of high density areas.

Cons

Lack of Management Stability: Management turnover is very high, and often individuals are promoted into leadership roles without the necessary qualifications or experience. • Quality Oversight Issues: The quality review team is inconsistent and biased. Even when nurses escalate calls appropriately and follow resource recommendations, we are still penalized because it doesn’t match what quality “expects.” This puts unnecessary risk and liability on the nurse. • Unsafe Practices: The company’s main goal seems to be keeping patients at home—even when that may not be the safest clinical decision. This creates concerns for nurses trying to practice safely within their license. • Micromanagement: Productivity is monitored to the point of checking mouse movement. Breaks are limited, and there isn’t enough time to complete charting properly. • High Turnover: Both management and nursing staff turnover quickly due to these conditions. • Poor Translation Services: Language support for patients is unreliable and inadequate, which further compromises care.

Pros

Vision is excellent. Pay is decent.

Cons

At first it was a great place to work. Now, not so much. Have been working short staffed for quite some time now. The job is tough, so many tasks, so little time. Yet upper management expect us to do more, more, more. Heaping tasks upon us all the while knowing how short handed we are. Do this, do that...it's ALL about the NUMBERS anymore, no longer about quality care. AND if the patient doesn't comply with the PCPs advice or they don't show for their appointments, it's the staff's fault. It is ridiculous! They tell us over and over-it isn't about the numbers but if we don't meet the metrics, we get penalized. Just isn't worth it any longer. Actively seeking other employment. Ask any of the front line workers-PCPs, CP,s CFs, RTs or CCs...they will tell you the truth. Notice all the glowing reviews are from management positions, not the front line workers. Sorry, ChenMed, I have not had many good days with you.
