Pros
Helping the clients you are assisting, seeing progress and goals met
Cons
The pay is low, you are part time so you do not have great benefits, you accrue pto each pay period (hours of it not even full days) and are either unpaid on holidays/closures or have to use your hours of pto (if you even have any) which results in a LOT of short pay checks. Zero support. Management “work from home” and lie about coming to assist you. They don’t truly care about the clients they are helping or their happiness/success. The clients you are helping are just a number and they would rather you keep quiet. Feels very much like a staffing agency and less like somewhere that supports individuals with disabilities.
