Pros
You get to work with creative, intelligent coworkers who you all commiserate with about the horrible treatment you receive from the two publishers who have no idea how to run a business, nor be a good human being. The positive reviews are only from the interns, who do not interact with the two publishers — and this is for the best.
Cons
Severely understaffed. At the time I worked here, the few editors were beyond overworked and treated almost like slaves by the two publishers, who, again, have no idea how to run a publishing business. Pay is low. Benefits are almost nonexistent (low health insurance, no 401K). You are treated with total disrespect by the two owners/publishers who, like the other review here, will call, text and email you early in the morning, at night, weekends and holidays. Total lack of respect and added to my anxiety, no doubt.
