Pros
The pros were when I first worked there and it was actually a company that managed to care somewhat about their customers and employees. It actually felt like we did something good and that we made a difference. The pros now are at least that most of the people who facilitated making this company terrible also got crushed by knitwells takeover and have been fired as well. I look forward to watching LinkedIn to see all of the people who lied to us and themselves that the buyout was a good thing are now being met with unemployment as well.
Cons
Every software program they use is broken or mishandled to the point that they can’t function as a company. They are actively dismantling any culture of companionship and camaraderie at the facilities and have sold off most of the assets splitting it up to the cheapest labor they can find They would rather hire foreign people who are third party that they don’t train than provide their customers with a quality experience. This helps them skirt labor laws, pay marginalized people next to nothing all while touting how American they are. If you work there you will hear daily from customers how terrible your service, returns, clothing, quality etc is and there is nothing you can do about it because no one has any answers or knows what they’re doing. They will tell you what they want then change it making work extremely confusing while moving the bar constantly to keep you from meeting goals so that way they don’t have to pay commission or bonuses. I genuinely think Knitwell will actually kill off all the brands they bought up then sell the naming rights to a third party so they can continue to use the name but make the clothes even cheaper and poorer quality while still charging the customer more.
