Cons
This place is full of hypocrisy and sycophancy. CEO has created a culture of "Yes Boss". You do that and don't do any work and would be rising. He forces too many random decisions every day and then punishes others for them. Takes pride in being super quick in decision making but that is not more than the pretext of hiding the incompetency. Fire employees at will and publicly abuse the employees. Rest of the leaders are in race to flatter the CEO and do not hesitate to blame others and let them down to please one man. A sample of how this company works. Company has been building a product for market place. There were no clear requirements, CEO was defining them ad-hoc. The technical lead asked for 3 engineers but the poor chap was provided less than two engineers to work on it. Suddenly in march management got the wisdom that this is the most important product. CEO suddenly started blaming team that they are not working, incompetent, useless bunch. He passed the verdict that 3 people were enough to finish this project in 3 months. The lead was declared incompetent and CEO took complete control. But as soon as he took control he asked for more resources and gave clear instructions that this team would not work on any other issue. 5 engineers were pulled into project, one of them was senior lead. Since April the CEO has been directly leading the project and micromanaging it on daily basis but the project is still not ready even for pilot. When it was someone else who was leading project, it was declared failures if they could not build in 3 months with 3 engineers. But CEO is still great even if pilot for same things has still not happened while he is using 5 people to deliver the same. The rest of management has no spine and are just "yes man" Our engineering head knows all this reality but he is a tail wagging puppy. He is focused on keeping his Boss happy and meekly obeys all his commands. How do you justify these double standards? Why do you shamelessly accept blames being put on your team by using these double standards? Why don't you have courage to stand up and confront your boss. Our program manager happily imposes the unrealistic timeline coming from above and constantly nag people with them. You make our life hell when the unrealistic deadlines are not met but why don't you dare to ask any questions now on delays in project? Where are your nasty follow ups now? Our business management, they do not know ABC of software development but would have been behind our blood if someone else would have taken the same time to deliver. But now as CEO is leading it, they are all mum and happy. The same story is repeated from once place to other and employees keep on suffering while management enjoy.
