Cimarron picked us up in our then current positions after contract change. This happened several times since my start in Mission Control Center 7 July 82.

Cons

benefits need to be improved severely

Thank you for your review. Due to the NASA contract environment, contract workers are often forced to change employers or to be let go due to contract transition or reduction in force. Cimarron continues to expand our customer base beyond NASA JSC to give our employees the opportunity for growth or the opportunity to transition to other contracts. We work hard to provide our employees with the best and most affordable benefit options every year and we believe we offer a very competitive benefits package.

Pros

The company had excellent local management. They are a smaller company and supposed to be "folksy" and have more flexibility and personal support. Never missed a paycheck.

Cons

The company has undergone a substantial management transformation in the last year. They have also done some very unethical things, such as changing the 401(k) so that only employees of record on 12/31 each year get the company match (which was low to start). The did this after a match paid with each pay check for years. Unfair practices with respect to vacation, and required some workers to work overtime, and didn't allow them to use the vacation, and then kept the vacation when they left under their "use it or lose it" policy. Personally - I logged 10-15 hours of overtime weekly, and was told "no" when asked if I could take some comp time off, which I felt was abusive. When I left, they kept my unused holiday days too. And kept my 401(k) company match, which I had accrued through the year. Many long term employees are leaving the company. Unfortunately, what was good about it has been lost. I wouldn't recommend working there any longer.
