Pros

No travel, pays okay, one owner/partner fair

Cons

Thanks everyone is stealing from them, has all staff under surveillance (visual listening-just creepy) unethical slum landlord mentality, over promise and under delivers.

Pros

I’ve worked for CPM for 7.5 years. In my time with the company I have risen from lowest tier property manager to the regional manager. They’ve helped me to grow in my knowledge of my chosen career, helped me to attain the credentials I now hold, and work with me and for our staff daily.

Cons

The current con is not related to CPM at all but to the current pandemic conditions. It is hard to run a business that focuses on personal interaction and have to temper that to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Pros

- I gained skills on how to work in a high volume property management company

Cons

- inconsistencies with training - overloading with work - public and inappropriate reprimands - multiple situations where shouting and profanity were tolerated in the office - micromanagement - repeated accusations of errors that couldn’t be documented - underpaid (bonuses are only $45/lease on average where other leasing positions payout $100+) - No HR! couldn’t report anything because the people you needed to report were the managers/supervisors Ultimately this was the most toxic work environment that I’ve ever worked in. Management often took things personally and handled conflict in the most unprofessional way. There was extreme pressure from the owners to get occupancy up which would cause unrealistic expectations on the office that was severely understaffed. As a general rule you should have around 1 office worker per 100 units. There were only 4 staff for over 600 units….
