Whatever you do avoid the projects that manage large numbers of servers. Poor engineering of products. Documentation is lacking. In my job the debug / edit / compile cycle was approximately 1 hour (versus a few minutes at most other companies). This is due to bad choices made in engineering, and the cost on current employees is very high.
Cisco does not "eat its own dogfood." So the complex task of managing hundreds of servers is not deployed at Cisco. Furthermore, the company isn't willing to invest much in hardware. You'll be forced to use "simulators" to debug things, being that there is no big set of hardware to use.
Also, if you are not Asian you may not "fit in". Don't expect the other employees to be very friendly or helpful.
