Pros

Very convenient place, very convenient place and strategic place

Cons

I have read many of the reviews here and noticed that the company actively responds to feedback. I sincerely hope that beyond replying, meaningful action can also be taken. First, I would like to share that I genuinely enjoyed my time at Citigate Dewe Rogerson. The office location is convenient, and my colleagues were supportive and collaborative. Several senior team members were clear in their guidance, and very generous in sharing their knowledge. It is not easy to find mentors who teach so clearly, and I felt truly grateful for that support. The HR was welcoming from the beginning, and the Managing Director made new joiners feel appreciated. The onboarding process and system explanations were clearly communicated, which made my early days more comfortable. However, I was disappointed that my time with the company was short and ended during probation. I came across in Glassdoor, someone commented that “Office politics is extremely high (SG, HK).” As a new joiner working remotely from Malaysia, I was not fully aware of certain internal sensitivities, particularly regarding cross-office communication. I believe more structured guidance for new employees, especially in the very early week, would help prevent misunderstandings. It can be challenging to navigate systems and cross-office dynamics without explicit direction. Also, in particular, I experienced challenges under this (Director) where i work with some accounts. There were instances where expectations were communicated as though prior instruction had been given, but when in reality certain processes had not been clearly explained to me. This created confusion and affected my confidence in delivering tasks such as media list preparation. It made me overthink to ask her again. But I am thankful that the senior colleagues who guided me were very generous in teaching. Their support made a meaningful difference during my time there. I believe it’s not easy to find guidance, who can naturally connect and stay in sync with you while teaching. Overall, I value the opportunity I had with the company and remain appreciative of the positive individuals I worked with. I hope the organisation continues to strengthen its leadership alignment (This is very important), cross-office communication, and on-ground senior support, especially for team members working remotely from Malaysia. I believe Leadership quality plays a crucial role in shaping team culture. I hope careful consideration is given when appointing Director (This is very important), ensuring they possess not only technical expertise but also strong mentoring and people-management skills.
