Pros
I appreciated the ability to work collaboratively and independently with such a talented and capable group of people. It was great to work with people that cared about our company and the value we are delivering to our customer. I also appreciated the variety and diversity in the work itself; it created myriad learning opportunities, and kept the work interesting. Most importantly, our CEO is innovative, forward looking, and a genuinely kind and caring person.
Cons
To succeed in the world of government contracting, you must be good with ambiguity; sometimes things take longer than you expect (e.g., federal clearances) and you have to take charge and find ways to add value during these times. Contracts end and new ones start, requiring flexibility and the willingness to take charge of your own professional development.
