Pros

In the last few years, Citizant has created and invested in a strong focus on "human experience" -- doing everything we can to treat all our employees, partners, and customers the right way all the time. So many employees have told us that they've never experienced a supportive, caring culture like this in a government contracting company. Our "HX" team puts a lot of energy into communicating with our employees frequently; hosting social connection events for our distributed workforce; and supporting our employee resource groups. The company has also promoted or hired several new leaders in the last 2-3 years, and these experienced professionals are making sure that we run the company in the right way. So far we are balancing our commitments to customers and employees with a focus on growing our business to create new jobs and professional growth opportunities for current employees. I'm honored to be part of this team.

Cons

Like any small business, we constantly have to set priorities and make tough choices based on our core values. Inflation and increases in health insurance premiums make it really hard to invest as much as we want in employees, when our government customers don't allow us to raise our billing rates at the same level. The good news is that we're still in business after 24 years, and still growing.

Pros

Good opportunities for growth and expanded responsibility. Employees who are motivated and adaptable can gain valuable experience across a variety of programs and operational areas. Advancement opportunities are available for strong performers.

Cons

Work-life balance can become challenging during busy proposal and capture periods. Tight deadlines and changing priorities may require extended hours and increased availability. Leadership does recognize employee contributions, but the pace during surge periods can be difficult to sustain long term.
