Pros
The "do-ers" of the organisation are wonderful
Pockets of really dedicated and intelligent people
Some areas are likely great to work for
Cons
Restructures, redundancies, and constant reshuffling of the sales team have become the norm. The go-to excuse tends to be blaming the previous MD, but that narrative wears thin. Sales teams are micromanaged, while senior management, who often do not have a sales background, are deeply involved in decisions, leading to ever-changing strategies in a “see what sticks” approach.
Certain “Head of” level managers have been around far too long and have become deeply entrenched. Rather than driving innovation, they’ve carved out little empires built on smoke and mirrors. They’ve positioned themselves into roles they’re clearly not qualified for, and would get laughed out the door if they tried to interview for a similar job externally
Customer churn is out of control, but sales takes all the heat. Internal processes are a mess and the systems in place are disjointed at best, dysfunctional at worst.
