Pros
Its a job. decent pay and you get to watch a baseball game. good people working from the top down. see some cool parts of the park you never even knew where their. often get some balls hit during battening practice. security is the best as we are their the longest opening/closing the park meaning more $$$. usually get stationed at a few different places to cover for other peoples breaks and shifting needs as the day goes on keeps it interesting. got to sit on the field once that was awesome. (sorry ladies only men on the field. its not a policy bc they cant say that but....its a policy just ask... idk may have changed been a while.)
Cons
sometimes stationed outside standing there for 8 hours only thing to look at remotely entertaining is the motor cycle cops that keep pulling people over for illegal turns or running red lights @ Carnegie and Ontario. you do get to hear tom Hamilton's voice over the radio broadcast outside the stadium as he announces the game and the muffled cheers that go along with his broadcast which is kinda cool. standing for a very long time which isn't really a con for me but for some people I could see how it is. parking is kinda far, again not a big deal but if you have a bumb knee or are extremely out of shape could be a hassle. sometimes people are rude/annoying/unruly but hey that keeps life interesting. overall I think the pros outweigh the cons it is not a career job though I did it through college and loved it.
