Pros
- Fantastic can-do and positive internal culture with strong values that flows out into the CloudPeeps community. - Transparency is practiced by the founder and the entire team, providing an open environment to discuss all the ups and downs that go along with being in a growing startup. - Knowledge sharing is second-nature to the team and new team members are openly welcomed. - It may be a remote team working in different time zones, but thanks to excellent tools and processes in place, the team rarely feels disconnected. - In regards to using the CloudPeeps platform: It's straight forward and provides transparency on roles, budgets and expectations, taking the stress out of this process with setting up new clients.
Cons
- Startups are far more innovative, dynamic and evolving (which is great!) than the traditional corporate environment. Expect to hit the ground running and to take ownership of your role quickly (with at times little instruction). - Expectations are high in a startup, every hour counts towards the growth of the business, so understand that you will be required to keep track of every hour spent and show its value towards the end goals. - In regards to using the CloudPeeps platform: -- It's important to have channels for Peeps available if they feel that a client's tasks/hours/budget ratio is not realistic and/or achievable. -- It's excellent that recently an internal invoicing system, which is great for Peeps. It's not completely user-friendly yet but the team is working on improving this over time. Some clarity for new users on how to invoice, taking into account the client's budget, hours and the fee, would be most helpful, to avoid any confusion.
