Multi-level IRC chat - company - product - team. Groovy floor of former warehouse across King St. from Giants' / AT&T / Pac-Bell ball park. Some employees start and end work day early for regular voice contact with French team.

Informal relationship with my management chain. Great if good, weak if problems. One chance, or less, to get it right. My imperfections weren't adequately addressed (by me), zero-to-laid-off in a few weeks. The reality of employment at will. Seems inefficient. Opaque management above boss' boss. Who they were, what they did, how my group related, unclear. Some employees start and end work day early for regular voice contact with French team. Noisy during baseball games- across King St. from Giants' / AT&T / Pac-Bell ball park.
