Pros

You become a stronger individual because you have worked here.

Cons

Job: - You are a 'contractor' but expected to work 40hrs per week (probably illegal) - Low pay, and extremely difficult to hit bonus for probably the first 3-4 months. - No sense of career progression. - No transport (probably illegal) - No payslips (probably illegal) - No annual leave despite full time work hrs. (dodgy, and probably illegal). You get a bonus at the end of your yearly contract, if you make it that far. - Pay is often WRONG (dodgy) - Social media is embarrassing - No help with Visas or taxes - Facility is old and poor. Literally bolts fall off the equipment and clients see it. Machines are bought from Amazon (joke!) - Treatment rooms are dark and cluttered and messy. Management: - No words. Avoid.

Pros

- Probably the Highest earning potential for a personal trainer in Tokyo. When I moved to Tokyo and discovered the current state of the fitness industry here, I was not sure if I would be able to live here and create a future for myself. By miracle, I managed to find club360, where the management hired me, sponsored my working visa, and provided me with a fair starting salary. The salary system here is a Base+ bonus that starts from a relatively easy to get amount of client hours a month (they pay the Base salary even if you do not have any client hours, and if we are not too busy we feel our time with chores and other tasks), with a full schedule I managed to get to a relatively high salary (compered to the average salary in Tokyo) already at my first year here. As my employers were happy with my performance, my income here has been increasing on a yearly basis and now, I am feeling like I can support a family cell in japan with honor. I will always be grateful for the opportunity to work here. The company also pays transportation and vacation days in 4 installments during a contracted year. - Work environment - After a few changes of team members that happened about 2 years ago, I do feel like this place has provided me with life long friends to share life with, while I live in Japan. The working environment is very fun and positive, our bosses are not taking themselves too seriously and always having a good laugh. We are also trying to do some work outings once in a while if possible. every month the staff is having a meeting with management, so we can share our opinion about things. It seems to me like they have been reacting very well to what we say and trying their best to improve on a monthly basis. - Professionalism - As a personal trainer, it has been great being surrounded by high level professionals both in Training and physiotherapy . I have been learning a lot during the last 3 years and feel like I improved greatly as a trainer. As we work closely with the physios, I also got to learn a lot about rehab, from working with all the patients we share. - Understanding - On a personal note, due to a family situation, I had a very ruff two years. during that time I felt huge support from both my bosses and my colleagues . They helped and understood every time. I still remember my manager rushing in on his time off two years a go to feel in for me when I had to run home on a now to now notice (I heard zero complaints, just asked how I am doing). There is so much more that I love about this place, and I highly recommend working here.

Cons

As commission can become a really big part of your income, not willing to work hard and make some schedule sacrifices might result in not such a big bonus. So I would say that this place is way more rewording for hard working people and might not be the best if you are looking for a regular 9-5 same income every month kinda place.

Pros

Can train at the gym yourself

Cons

Where to start: You have a freelancer contract with no job security yet you are treated like a full time employee. Are not allowed to work anywhere else even though you are a freelancer Are told you get 15 days holiday but this is paid through your 'end of year bonus' just so they can get around tax loop holes I believe Their review structure is bogus and opinionated Will talk badly about other staff members in a personal unprofessional manner Make the working hours unhealthy and leading to burn out & sickness yet refuse to pay any sick pay Treat the clients like royalty because they pay and the staff like second class citizens because they are an expense Uses the common toxic phrase 'we are a family' to try to bleed out as much free labour as possible Will make the contract intentionally vague on what work needs to be covered, to give any tasks they deem necessary, this includes cleaning toilets, carrying heavy equipment with no PPE or safety procedures and fixing gym machines even though we are not qualified Offers physiotherapy as service however is not qualified to do so in Japan
