Pros
I joined Clue Software as a Tech Team Lead in November of last year, and honestly, the reality of working here has completely matched to what I was promised during the interview process.
Seamless onboarding: Starting a leadership role can be daunting, but the engineering team here made it incredibly easy. Everyone is completely devoid of ego and was instantly ready to help me get up to speed with our platform and architecture.
Real autonomy from day one: There is a massive amount of trust here. Management doesn’t breathe down your neck or tell you how to build. They give you the goals, trust your expertise as a leader, and give the team the freedom to figure out the best technical solutions.
Tech with a purpose: It’s incredibly motivating to work on a platform that's actually used to fight fraud, corruption, and organized crime. Knowing your daily sprint goals contribute to making society safer is a massive breath of fresh air compared to standard tech jobs.
Great balance: The hybrid model is genuinely flexible, and there is a real, measurable focus on giving engineers the budget and time to upskill and grow.
Cons
Because we are scaling and growing quickly, things move fast. You definitely have to be comfortable with change, as processes that worked a few months ago often need to be tweaked and matured as the team expands. It keeps you on your toes, but it's a symptom of success.
