Pros

Cons
- If you apply for paralegal academy to Clyde & Co - there is a high chance you won't even end up working for a true Clyde & Co team. Many of us were assigned to BLM teams (Context: Clyde & Co and BLM recently merged). There is a huge divide between BLM and Clyde & Co. teams - they don't interact much or get along (even if working in the same department). It creates a cold working environment. - Unrealistic expectations from managers / supervisors: most people are handed over / transferred over 50 fixed fee matters because they don't get paid enough for them. Handing them to paralegals is easy for them but they won't support you with anything if you have questions. This is quite funny bec. paralegal academy is designed for students who don't have much legal experience. My supervisor complained to my manager because I asked her a few questions. - You will be working even after you get home / sometimes late evenings and will be paid peanuts - Paralegals are also humans: 3/4 of your team won't even know you or bother to interact. - They take on quite a lot of paralegals every once a while and think they are easily replaceable so they don't care about career progression.
