Pros

Free parking and relaxed dress code.

Cons

1. Dishonest hiring practices: During the hiring process my direct manager and head of the department said it was in office 2x a week. I started and was told on my first day by my direct manager it was actually 5 days a week for the first 3 months in office. I would not have accepted the offer had I been told the truth upfront when I explicitly asked in the interview process - it was a bait and switch situation. They wanted everyone to come into the office more often for "collaboration", but they also removed assigned desks/workspaces and held most meetings virtually. I'd sit at a desk on a video call with coworkers who were next to me. 2. Toxic: I heard so many times "we are family" - no, we are not. We are professionals working together. This is just a toxic way to try to get people to overextend themselves and allow the disrespect that was the norm to continue. I sat in a team meeting where half the team and the manager started gossiping about an intern who hadn't joined the call yet - that's entirely inappropriate and rude. We were told in a meeting we would need to have all overtime pre-approved or we would not be paid for the time worked. Illegal, but ok - except our manager would leave and not respond to requests to approve overtime when an issue came up at the end of the day. Then we were told we weren't "team players" for leaving it until the next morning. 3. Pay: Not in line with experience or industry standards. Not a livable wage for the location. They would tout "experience" and things like their "culture" but it doesn't pay the bills.
