Pros
Coconut has some of the smartest and kindest people I’ve ever worked with. People genuinely care — about their work, about each other, and about making things better. The company is ambitious, and leadership is pretty open about where we’re headed and how we’re tracking. That kind of transparency isn’t everywhere. There’s a lot of trust. You’re given real ownership and space to figure stuff out — which can be freeing, and also kind of overwhemling at times. If you like solving problems, stretching yourself, and moving things forward, you’ll probably enjoy it. I appreciate that there’s room to be a human here. Life happens, and people respond with understanding and support instead of judgment.
Cons
Things move quickly, and we don’t always have everything figured out. That can be exciting, but also chaotic if you’re not ok with change. If you don’t set your boundaries, it’s easy to overwork without meaning to. Career growth isn’t obvious. If you know what direction you want to go, people are supportive though. Depending on your team, some parts of the org have new leaders or shifting priorities. It can feel frustrating when there's always something changing.
