Pros

Code Koalas provides an amazingly fun office environment. Everyone works hard to get their work done. Nerf wars break out at any time. Every Thursday is Mandatory fun where all employees play board games for an hour during business hours. Every other Wednesday lunch is provided for Workshop Wednesdays where an employee presents on a topic of their interest. I worked on the JavaScript team. The tech stack (React and GraphQL) is modern and always evolving. The projects are fun to work on and the Product Owners do a great job planning the Sprints. If you're looking for a great work life balance Code Koalas is one of the best employers in KC at this. Upper management really focuses on this and they genuinely care about you. They value people over skills and are willing to train you up. They provide a monthly learning budget. If you don't grow as a developer at Code Koalas it's on you as they provide everything needed to 10x your skillset.

Cons

I have no cons to share.

Pros

I can't believe that I am lucky enough to work here. The CEO and COO are just great people. The entire team could not be any nicer. It truly is a team environment. There is mandatory fun scheduled every Friday where we get together on zoom and hang out. It is also really family-friendly. They understand that kids get sick or have dentist appointments or just want to be a part of the virtual company meetings. I pinch myself every day.

Cons

It is sometimes stressful to complete writing assignments because I don't have a tech background, but the developers are really great about answering questions and breaking things down for me.

Pros

Culture can be fun, and the work and projects coming in are always changing.

Cons

While the small-company aspect can make things fast, fun, and exciting, it can also create for volatility in the pace of work coming in.
