Worked here for about a year. This is not the place for you if you are an open-minded, enlightened person that is looking to work with people that share similar traits. Homophobic and other insensitive terms are frequently thrown about as insults by the core group that has worked here for awhile and make up their leadership team. They all know each other outside of work and thus look out for one another and seemingly see nothing wrong with using talk like that in their workplace. And while it might be okay with them, it makes for a very uncomfortable environment for those of us that are empathetic and caring to those that are different than us. When I brought up my uncomfortableness with the offensive terms to my superior and the owner, I was told something would be said to rectify the situation. This never happened and the behavior continues unchallenged. It’s also worth noting that references to a certain WWII leader by the name of Adolf are frequent here. This includes a game that is often played here that is Adolf themed. I’m not sure how it’s not obvious that playing a game like that is completely inappropriate for the workplace. Aside from the insensitive and incendiary language/behavior, there is also a major lack of organization and efficient/effective processes. This leads to confusion for new employees and sets them up for failure and eventually results in their firing. There were about 7 people fired in the course of my tenure there. Turnover is extremely high, which doesn’t and shouldn’t instill confidence in the odds of you having a long career here should you be able to look past all the issues listed above. One last note... pretending to be a company that cares about women in the workplace to win new business is entirely dishonest and shameful. So if you are looking for an ethical company, you should look elsewhere.
