Pros
I've been working at Coffee Meets Bagel now for 5+ years, and I can absolutely say it's one of the best jobs I've ever had. First of all, the culture is really healthy. Everyone who works here is a genuinely a good person and wants each other and the company to succeed. The work/life balance is unbeatable. Whenever my friends tell me about how their job requires them to come into an office, or cares about when they sign on and sign off, I realize how good I actually have it here. At CMB, the most important thing is results – as long as you're being a good person, showing up for meetings, getting your work done, and making an impact, the company genuinely does not care where or when you work. The company really does a good job of letting you design your work around your lifestyle, rather than the other way around. Second of all, the work is challenging and fulfilling. You get to help people find love! The company also does a great job of being pretty transparent and flat (hierarchy-wise), so you get to wear a lot of different hats and get exposure to what makes the business really tick. Overall, if you want to make a difference and have awesome perks like four-day workweek - come work here!
Cons
While the work-life balance is great, employees are fairly distributed worldwide. Which means time zone management can get tricky and, depending on your role, can easily bleed into morning/evening hours if you're not disciplined about setting work hour boundaries. But in an increasingly remote-friendly world, this may not be an uncommon issue. Additionally, I do wish the company invested more time and money into quality assurance, ensuring optimal product usability.
