Pros

There are a lot of really great people that work for Coffman, the engineers and supporting staff are really positive, upbeat, and ready to make a difference. Coffman provides coffee, a fridge with snacks, and free breakfast. Coffman definitely provides a fun, hip, up-and-coming atmosphere, but it is all smoke and mirrors.

Cons

These cons are specific to the Honolulu office- Burnout is a constant. Young engineers are overworked and undervalued. Principal engineers work way too much as well, but at least they are compensated for their time in the form of large bonuses, company stock, and other free perks. Coffman is a revolving door. Use it to get your PE and then get out and make more money at a company that WILL value you. I find it comical the amount of reviews that claim "work-life balance". Most people are working late into the night and on weekends.

Very unfortunate that this was your experience at Coffman. We are not perfect, and it sounds like we need to make some further improvements. We are not simply watching and rewarding metrics, we are committed to being a company where everyone can thrive.
