Thanks for the comments. Regarding pay, we are continually benchmarked by the industry as we recruit people from the marketplace. We have to be competitive to survive. One of the biggest factors to consider when comparing engineering firms is whether overtime is paid or not. This has a huge impact on employees’ take-home pay, the Company’s business model, and on morale . At Coffman Engineers we compensate people for each hour worked. We think this is the right thing to do for people, so please take it into consideration when comparing salary.
As far as females in upper management, this is very important to us and a continual work in progress. As an affirmative action employer, we are committed to maintain a diverse employee population throughout the company, including women. We are excited to have recently added our first female director to help guide us at the board level. Some of our engineering departments are managed by women, as well as our corporate HR . We have a deep bench of upcoming talent which will afford us the opportunity to increase the number of women in the upper levels of management.
