Pros

Workload is small for most people thanks to management being absolutely terrible at allocating resources. Can also backfire if you are one of the few that end up with all the workload. Some team leads actually care about people when they are not completely depressed by their environment.

Cons

Extremely low pay. Constant emails about the company values which are not at all enforced by managers, even escalations to high executives are buried and ignored. Team managers and project managers mostly happened to be there at the right place at the right time to get the role. They have absolutely no leadership /organizational skills whatsoever and get extremely offended the minute someone tries to give them feedback as it would force them to face their mistakes. They are terrified of putting anything in writing because deep down they are aware of their lack of skills and don't want any written proof of their actions. The cherry on top is that not only they are incredibly incompetent but also have no compassion for entry level employee, who they think should be micromanaged at all times and are always spoken to in a very demanding manner.

Pros

Cognizant can be a great place to work at. You have to be self-motivated and driven. You won't often be given a script on how to do your job well. But if you are willing to search for new opportunities, you will find success.

Cons

Just like many other tech companies, layoffs are happening all the time. This often brings many projects to a complete halt. Management never communicates when someone is laid off. And when they are laid off, they often never back fill positions, leaving existing team members working the equivalent of three jobs at once. Most teams there are skeleton crews, ensuring that they cannot reach their full potential.
