Pros
Colas in the UK is a diverse business, trying to move up from its traditional base as a tier 2 contractor. There are many committed and hardworking personnel across the company and throughout the ranks. It's possible to advance your career and they are actively trying to improve benefits.
Cons
Lack of communication across the business is inevitable in part due to the diverse locations, but is also encouraged in certain areas. There is a deep-rooted blame culture which is in danger of stifling the creativity of personnel. Strategy also shifts almost by the month.
