Pros

The students, always the students. They are funny, and willing to try new things when you can find things that motivate them based on their special interests. The flexibility in choosing what hours you want to work as a full-time employee, and the three weeks of break during the year is what we really need.

Cons

From day to day you wonder whether you are going to be fired or forced out. The staff are cliquish and also National Office promotes the culture that everything is so sweet and dandy. There is no curriculum and staff are seriously just "winging it." The place takes advantage of parents that are wishing for a better future for their children, but if they only knew how miserable the staff were and morale.

College Internship Program Response

Thanks for your feedback. While we cannot agree completely with some of your comments, we certainly will acknowledge that the program has gone through many changes in the past few years, including new leadership and several staff changes. The national office also went through many changes. Our people are what makes us great. We're very happy with the culture that has emerged and our parents, students, and staff report the same. The current staff at Long Beach are a tight team of highly professional individuals who put their all into everything they do for CIP. Thanks again for your feedback and good luck in the future.
