Pros

It's been about 4 years since my last review and while much has changed over the last year due to the pandemic, much has stayed the same. ComPsych continues for me as a great place to work and I enjoy being part of a strong leadership team that has successfully navigated the challenges of the pandemic over the last year. One of the reasons I enjoy my job so much is the great team of people that work at ComPsych, particularly within our IT staff. When COVID-19 hit in full force last year we had to move quickly to make sure everyone in our company could work remote safely and efficiently. At the time we were a company that had 90% of our workforce in the office daily, and suddenly that had to change practically overnight. Fortunately we were able to lean into our strong business continuity plan and had nearly all the company staff working remote before the mandatory stay-at-home orders were in effect. Our Help Desk team went above and beyond to deploy additional remote equipment and train employees who'd never worked remote before, while the Infrastructure engineers ensured connectivity to our systems remained highly secure and accessible. At the same time they developed new onboarding procedures for new hires who's first day would now be remote from day one. The software development teams had a number of complex, high-profile projects underway and quickly adapted to a new way of collaborating, continuing to meet their delivery dates for both internal and customer-facing projects. While the pandemic brought its share of challenges, it also presented several opportunities that IT worked with our business partners to enhance the services we provide. As the pandemic winds down we're taking what we've learned working remote over the last year to expand our capabilities as a hybrid workplace, leveraging the best of both worlds working in the office and remotely. I'm very proud of what we've accomplished as an organization and excited about the innovative projects that are currently in progress and those we're planning for the future.

Cons

While I love how Zoom has kept us all connected, I really can't wait for more regular in-person interactions, especially with new team members who started during the pandemic.

Pros

The mission is real here. ComPsych sits at the intersection of behavioral health and workforce wellbeing, and that purpose comes through in the daily work in a way that isn't just marketing language. If you care about the EAP space and the impact it has on employees around the world, this is a place where that matters. The people are a genuine standout. Across departments, you find colleagues who are sharp, collaborative, and invested in doing good work. Teams tend to be lean, which means individuals carry real responsibility and have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions. That can be energizing if you are someone who wants ownership over your work. The global scope of the business is a differentiator. For anyone interested in global operations, the breadth of markets and programs ComPsych operates across creates exposure that is hard to find elsewhere. There is real complexity to navigate and that complexity builds skills quickly.

Cons

Growth within the organization can feel inconsistent. There are opportunities, but they are not always visible or equitably communicated, and career pathing can vary significantly depending on your manager and team. Internal processes and cross-functional coordination can be slower than the pace of the business demands. As the company continues to grow globally, investment in infrastructure and process alignment would go a long way.
