Thank you for sharing your reflections and candid feedback. We’re glad to hear you found your colleagues supportive and were inspired by our mission and impact. That’s a reflection of the passion and dedication our teams bring to this work every day.
While the past few years have brought change to the education landscape, requiring us to make adjustments to our strategy as well as difficult staffing decisions, we want to offer clarity on a few points:
- Management Style: We recognize that leadership styles vary, and we are actively investing in developing strong, supportive managers across the organization. If someone experiences micromanagement, that’s something we want to understand and address, as it’s not an organizational norm.
- Turnover: We understand that transitions can feel significant, especially during periods of organizational change. However, our data does not reflect unusually high turnover in recent years. Like many organizations, we've experienced changes—some challenging—but we’ve also seen strong retention in key areas.
- Communication and Transparency: We prioritize clear and transparent communication throughout the organization. This includes regular business unit updates, leadership roadshows, quarterly all-staff meetings, annual in-person gatherings, and multiple anonymous channels for employee feedback. While no system is perfect, we continuously work to evolve our practices to meet staff needs and organizational goals.
