Pros

Literally no Pros, I seriously do not understand who gave that 5 star ratings.

Cons

Owner treats employees as slaves, time watcher, literally no benefits except that they pay 50% of medical insurance, owner focuses on what you did not do (1%) rather than what you accomplished (99%), No proper technical managers (heard that it is since 2014), does not keep up their promises (neither to clients nor to employees), micro management, pay increments is based on certifications you do, not based on your performance.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate the time and effort you contributed during your years at Computer Market Research. As a boutique software company that has operated in California and Nevada since 1984, we’ve built a stable and long-standing business serving a specialized group of high-volume clients. Because of the nature of our work, accurate time tracking and accountability are essential to keeping projects on schedule and within client budgets. With the volume and pace of business we manage, opportunities for casual downtime, such as coffee breaks or extended coworker conversations, may be more limited compared to other companies — as we remain focused on delivering the level of service our clients expect. While this level of structure and performance expectation works well for many, we understand that not every environment is the right fit for every individual. We value our team and are always looking for ways to improve both the employee experience and the services we provide to our clients. We sincerely wish you the best as you move forward in your career and hope you find a role that aligns closely with your goals and working style.

Pros

Flexible Schedule, Interesting Work, Lots of Perks - Del is a great guy and treats his teams like family.

Cons

This job is not for everyone. You perform and produce, or you move along and find something else. This is a high value boutique software firm - it's easy to think there's not a lot going on here - but there actually is. It's easy to look at the relatively chill Las Vegas office and think it's a chill, boring place... but that's not the case... you have to have your finger on the pulse of what's happening not only here, but also in San Diego, There's a lot happening behind the scenes. You have to be smart enough to figure that out. It's B2B so if you don't have that experience you have to learn quick. You've got to be accountable for your own success. Nobody is going to hold your hand while you figure it out - just figure it out. If you don't have a good level of self direction and accountability, this is not the place for you.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet expectations and wish you the best of luck in finding a role that aligns well with your skills and career goals. At Computer Market Research, we’ve been proudly serving a niche group of high-volume clients since 1984, with many client relationships lasting over 15 years. As a boutique software company, we hold our team to a high standard so we can deliver the level of service our clients expect. Our Las Vegas corporate office is smaller and focused on strategy and client success, which can sometimes feel separate from the day-to-day operations of our product and development teams. That’s why staying connected and engaged across the business is so important. We also strive to provide a quiet, collaborative environment with perks like free parking and a close-knit, family-like culture for those who thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
