ConServ Building Services Response
8yThanks for taking the time to review our company--and for your efforts. We wouldn't be in business without our techs. I'm happy to clear up this misunderstanding about travel time. The average employee's commute to the office is roughly an half hour. That's an unpaid hour a day, when you count going home, too. Since a tech's office is the open road, we pay you for travel time when the time spent going to the job or going home from the job exceeds this 30 minutes. We like to show our appreciation with a wide range of benefits beyond basic health and financial, including company trucks, phones, sign-on bonuses, etc. but paying our employees to drive to work is not a benefit we can realistically consider. It may, however, be time to look at the way we report work hours so that our techs don't feel as if something has been taken away from them. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve our methods.
