Pros

Vermont is a beautiful state!

Cons

ZERO employee appreciation/recognition efforts No growth opportunity No strategic direction Zero loyalty to employees, unless your part of the C-level boys club Two-faced management Everyone has an "in it for myself" attitude and there is no sense of collaboration or team environment. In a nutshell, the company is dying a slow death. They will throw you under the bus despite your contributions if it means a better bottom line. The owner is delusional and living in the companies "glory days" from the 80's - they claim to be the experts, but they need to face the dismal reality. They cant't keep young talent because they treat their employees like garbage. There is too much opportunity out there, don't waste your time!!! Everyone plays favorites. It was by far the most depressive, disorganized, dysfunction place I have ever worked. You've been warned - stay away!

Pros

Great for experience, good pay, friendly teammates, reasonable workload.

Cons

If you like an office workspace that's good, but everyone else will be remote.

Pros

While I always felt the company had potential, in the past much of that was outweighed by inefficiency and lack of forward thinking. However, I am truly excited about the progress made within the last two years (the last year especially). There is still work to be done, but I now feel confident about the current direction and future outlook of the company. Current management seems to understand the issues of the past and has been actively working to implement major improvements in how the business operates. The company has also made significant investments in two new CNC machines over the last two years, with apparent plans for more investment. I really enjoy working with our current team. Everyone I work with now is very capable and appears to be on the same page regarding the general company direction. The company is also actively hiring to support planned growth. Scheduling and working hours are extremely flexible under most managers. A few years ago, I may have rated the company 2 or 3 stars. Within the next one to two years, I expect I will be able to comfortably upgrade my rating to 5 stars.

Cons

The company has gone through some growing pains recently, leading to late orders that have resulted in some stress. Fortunately, that has improved and looks like it will continue to improve. No 401(k) match is a little disappointing. There is an ESOP plan, but the details of how it works and the value it offers to employees is somewhat vague. Most of the previous cons I had have been addressed within the year.
