Former VP - Worst Place I Have Ever Worked - Vice President Conn's Employee Review

The CEO is a dictator not a leader…he yells and cusses employees. I witnessed it first hand on many occasions. There is no reason, in a place of employment that a CEO should single out, cuss or yell at an individual. The CEO does not understand that people have lives outside of work. I consistently worked 60+ hours a week and was made to feel that wasn’t enough because I wanted to spend time with my family. These “qualities” filter to his direct reports. If you are a woman seek employment elsewhere…it is a boys club…take a look for yourself. CMO just left…she was the only female on the leadership team at the time…and this trend goes further into the organization. If you didn’t work at DFG don’t bother they won’t like you. As someone else mentioned in their comments they don’t honor their commitments and lie to your face so get everything in writing. The Board is in bed with management and have consistently given increases to the CEO and other senior management as well as themselves. The Board is disconnected from the rest of the organization and don’t know the true sentiment of management below the senior level. If I sound disgruntled I am...those were the worst years of my professional career.
