Pros

Most of the people who work at this company are really good hard working people. If you are a man and have been accepted into the clique, then you are almost guaranteed a really high salary and a title to impress, even if you are completely unqualified. I definitely recommend this company for alpha males or men who are really good at manipulation, the top man will love you and that's really all you need to succeed. You can bring your dog to work. Benefits are pretty good considering the size of the company. They will let you take on as much work as you want and it's easy to learn new things or get ideas out there and talked about. I would definitely recommend this company if you are first starting out and are looking to get some experience. If you stay out of any management role you may actually really like it there. Or get into a management role and hang around just long enough to get a better job with better pay and more stability.

Cons

While many of them are very nice, senior and middle management is terribly inexperienced and even the ones who do have some experience seem to be terribly lacking in real management skills. Any great managers they have had have been pushed out or left. Due to the lack of real management there isn't any uniformity to how employees are treated. The company is very cliquey, and so the ones who happen to be in the boys club get a lot of special treatment, raises, seem to always be on vacation, and even if they are completely incompetent in their position, they will still promote them or move them instead of getting rid of them. If you are a woman, you are pretty much guaranteed to not have much growth, and if you do manage to move up, you will absolutely regret it and will get pushed out without any warning. Senior management micro-manages everything. Unlimited PTO works out really well for very few. Most of the time you are just working through your vacation or not getting it approved since none of your vacation days actually belong to you. People bring their dogs to work and there doesn't seem to be any governance on how well behaved they should be. Plus there is no limit on how many dogs can be in the office at the same time so often if feels like you work in a dog kennel and it can be very distracting. They also pee all over the office.

Pros

I worked as a consultant for Connect First before joining their motley crew watching some immense, business-altering (and culture redirection) interactions happen - hence a big reason why I joined. The good news is, each decision after August of 2016 was made with significant intention to address the known dysfunctions - gender bias included - and from that point forward made the right decisions to improve *everything*. A big part of that was manifesting change that comes from employee feedback, new leadership that is positive and pro-active, actions that honor the culture, and more transparency as to the roadmap of the future - particularly how everyone plays a part in getting there. They've since hired a variety of people that embody their dedication to change, from more diversity and equality in the workplace - to women in leadership, so that's really promising. Another Pro is that everyone cares about the well-being of everyone else. That core attribute of caring is a big driver in how they hire, too. No more self-serving individuals that are out on their own making decisions without the understanding of the affects on the rest of the company. Needless to say, progress is being made and the traction is significant.

Cons

Just the natural limitations that come from running lean, mean and wearing lots of hats. There are plans for great (big) things that are progressing along, but you definitely feel the occasional burst of work that can be overwhelming at moments, but nothing that doesn't resolve itself. Not really a con, but if you're not comfortable with quick (and lots of) change and thinking on your feet, this is probably not the right company for you.
