Pros

Great staff. Good vacation. You feel good about what you do.

Cons

Status quo and coasting seems to be preferred at high level, not progressive. Lack of accountability at all levels. CEO rarely appears, dresses poor, and his email communication is poorly written. Director level and higher is mostly smoke and mirrors with some who are very conniving. HR makes major (negative) operations decisions along with with a VP who bullies staff and changes how staff are handled from person to person, you're unable to advance if she doesn't like you. CEO not involved at all except to make decisions that help board members or hiring friends. Good ole boy system hard at work. You have to fake it to make it, it's known and most do. Frontline or management don't feel the bonuses. Salary structure very skewed as the face, heart and soul of the organization work min wage jobs. All the problems start at the top.

Pros

Interacting with families is rewarding!

Cons

Zero support to staff, management and favorite staff members are bullies and run in a packs. Often declining down donations due to male on male sexual history. Huge turnover, workers voice their concerns and are retaliated against. Very limited confidentiality, management tells your business. Management lack decorum, never one to pull you off to the side and correct you; include your mishaps in chat for everyone to see and make laughing emojis. Supervisors join in chat insulting others. Making slick remarks.
