Pros
Bagel thursdays, onboarding was good, small bank and quiet working in the corp offices for the most part.
Cons
Going back 20 years in banking...this means it was a shock to the system with how structured (like with dress code) within the office...even if you were in IT. There's this fear in hierarchy at this place...like you are living for senior management. We are all just people and previous Banks I've worked in was much more progressive and human like. Quality of life balance was not here...they hit you with the whole "we are a family" when we 100% are not. This felt more like a military style of management
In my department, micromanaging with time. Management in cahoots with seasoned employees to keep an eye out on the rest of the team (I saw messages). Management brought me in to a conference room to tell me how they watched me leave at 4:30pm one day (after getting there at 8am) and saying how he doesn't want the team to look/feel like we are clerks. Then proceeded to show me his phone to brag about how much his boss calls him early mornings, late nights and even on weekends. Very strange. The team I was with was not friendly whatsoever, they spoke about people (esp me) behind my back. They would snitch on you in a heartbeat to be on the boss's good side. I loathed waking up each day I had to go into an office with so many fake people.
