Pros

Work from home, flexible schedule.

Cons

I advanced to RTL pretty quickly. I assumed it was an honorary title because there was never an official offer made and the job title in my HR dashboard never changed. But EVERYONE I worked with called me an RTL, I had RTL level access in our system, and I was doing RTL level tasks. Fast forward to summer 2025 and someone from management pinged me asking to talk. There was no meeting invite or topic given; it was all very informal. During the call, they asked what I thought about being an RTL. I had no clue why they were asking, so I told the truth and said I was happy where I was, doing high level tasks, but not leading a team. Afterwards, I started being left out of important conversations and excluded from assignments when the work started slowing down. It hit me after a while that I'd been demoted to "core QA." 8 months later, someone in a different department told me that RTL isn't an honorary title but is in fact a wholly different position and a promotion from core QA with a higher salary. That informal conversation with management was my "official offer of promotion to RTL." But they NEVER ONCE mentioned promotion or official offer during that conversation. And apparently no one told them I had been working as an RTL for the last 4 years, so when I said I was happy where I was, they took that to mean I didn't want to be an RTL and marked me down as having declined the offer. The entire department lied to me for 4 years. Also, after 4 1/2 years of steady 40 hrs+ per week work, the work dried up mid December 2025 and they won't tell us why. They just ghosted us. I would check in to see if and/or when the next project would be starting and they would say "we have work in the pipeline, it'll be starting soon, we'll contact you." After 3 months of waiting and asking, the message switched to "stop asking and download our talent hub app. When we have a project, you'll be notified there." Real nice. I dedicate 4 1/2 years of my life to this place and they just ghost us? We finally get a project (late april 2026) but who knows how long it will last. After this RTL issue and them ghosting us, I have to FORCE myself to sit at my computer and work. The SECOND I find a different job, I'm gone. I never want to deal with these people or this company ever again.

Pros

It can be a decent stopgap if you need temporary income, but it’s not a place where you can build stability or feel particularly valued.

Cons

Working as a document review attorney at Consilio was, overall, a frustrating and unstable experience. The biggest issue is the lack of job security. Projects can end abruptly with little to no notice, leaving you scrambling for your next assignment. Despite the expectation that you remain highly responsive and available, there’s no reciprocal commitment from the company to provide consistent work. Management quality varies widely by project. Some team leads are organized and communicative, but others are unresponsive or unclear with instructions, which creates unnecessary confusion—especially when deadlines are tight and expectations are high. Feedback is minimal, and when it does come, it’s often inconsistent. The work itself is repetitive, as expected in document review, but what makes it worse is the pressure to maintain high speeds without sacrificing accuracy, all while navigating ever-changing protocols. Training is often rushed or insufficient, making it harder to feel confident in your work. Pay is low for the industry and overtime opportunities can be inconsistent or suddenly cut off. There’s also a noticeable lack of transparency around project duration, extensions, and selection for future work.
