Pros

Supervisor was pretty understanding, albeit did not train well and does not take responsibility well.

Cons

They fired me and two others all in the same week. What does that tell you? Cutting back, cutting down, cutting out. The next step, watch and see, they will fire more people and only keep or hire those with lower salaries to do more work. As it is, we were inundated with work under strict time limitations. Normally, the same amount of work and quality expected in one week would take a month with other, more reasonable employers. So $40/hr turns out to be $18/hr...I can work in freaking food service, then. They don't want you to take too much time to do the work, and then they come back and say things were missed.

Pros

Some people are really pleasant and helpful. Some of their client list is exciting (but clients seem to be dropping like flies...).

Cons

Editorial Management does not have a clear vision and does not seem to care if the processes in place are actually helpful or a burden. People are fired randomly with no warning, which negatively affects the vibe. The motto is "no BS," but in fact, there is a LOT of BS. Upper management randomly won't respond to you, but if you don't immediately respond to them, you get scolded. The whole company is a mess. I would not recommend working here. Do yourself a favor and apply elsewhere. You will be VERY underpaid and while management is nice initially, you quickly are forgotten about. Short deadlines without notice. Poor communication. Clients are added and taken away without any communication. Little to no training. No continued training. No benefits, bonuses, or incentives.
