Pros

Steady overtime, average around 58 hrs a week. New plant manager was great upgrade for front office

Cons

Culture is worst i have ever seen, do not appreciate workers, treat workers terrible. Would not let me wear my own n95 mask for covid and workers would not wear masks given out over their nose. I was walked off the plant floor for wearing an n95 mask in explaining I lived with someone who had COPD and did not feel comfortable not wearing an n95 mask. This is why I left.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We strive to create a positive work environment where employees feel valued and are inspired to do their best work. Our HSE team provided guidelines to employees about the use of N95s in our facilities, which address situations where employees would like to bring their own equipment. Questions about these guidelines should be reviewed with the local HSE manager at each facility. We are always looking for opportunities to improve and would like to learn more about your experience. To continue the conversation, please email us at connect@cooperstandard.com.

Pros

When I first started, it was an exciting and new experience.

Cons

Pay is very low, and the only way to really make money is to work as much overtime as you can. The more you work, the more they work you. The plant itself isn't well kept, and I left because I had reached my contact quota. My line was one of the lines that produced the most and was usually able to run continuously, unlike the other lines. However, this meant they worked us like dogs, and as time went on, the consideration of how much work was being put in, as well as the overall "you are replaceable" environment, caused me to walk out. When I brought up all my concerns to my supervisor, I was told that if I didn't like it, I could leave. So, I clocked out and walked out. Two days later, my line caught fire and was down for a couple of days. The same complaints I was making were still ignored. Thus, cause and effect.
